sold what should not have been allowed under any
circumstances: the monopoly of monopolies, including public
utilities. Mumbling and serving in the hope of direct profit
made individuals rich, rich as we could not have imagined
before, they could become spoiled and snobbish citizens of the
world even according to the interpretation of the Western world.
There was a high-ranking politician who was awarded the
French Order of Honor while swearing to serve the Hungarian
public interest. I wonder why? They don't give the award just
like that, but if he served French interests, what he did, he
already deserves special attention. Knowing the areas in which
French capital gained inescapable influence in Hungary, it is
easy to get suspicious. This is not a simple protocol, this is no
longer just a vanity fair. The Hungarian version of the
consensual system change in 1989 also resulted in no
accountability, and nothing came to light on the system of
informers and their movers. There were attempts, or rather the
use of it for ad hoc political purposes, to float the possibility of
settlement, and some people were found to be, e.g. an informing
agent who reported on those around him. Successful people
with great careers were found to be informers. Presumably, this
is how they got into a good position and had the opportunity to
make their careers, since many of them were also talented
people with good skills, and thus they were given the
opportunity for professional development and success at the
same time. Their terrible act was followed by a terrible end, if
they had the strength to face their resulting moral collapse. This,
though, did not happen in all cases, because they either
cynically rejected it, or because their names were mentioned,
but according to their own judgment, they were not guilty. If
possible, this fraudulent solution was the most inhumane: the
occasional leak, the failure to account in time, the judgment, the
failure to name the real culprits in time, including the names
and roles of all those active in the "litigation sub-departments",
the clean sheet, the failure to start again. All of this was
